Bundesverband - Tasks

Tasks and priorities of the activities of Bundesverband Keramische Rohstoffe und Industrieminerale e.V. (BKRI) cover a wide range of generic and specific activities and conditions related to the raw material extraction and processing. Main topics are: 

  • economical interests (lobbying)
  • expert advice
  • securing the supply of raw materials
  • permitting procedures
  • environmental protection and environmental law
  • German and European legislation
  • research and development
  • quality control
  • questions concerning job trainings
  • public relations

Other priority tasks are to inform the members through circulars, the association's statistics on sales, discussions in working groups on costs, personnel, energy and tax issues, handling of internal and external economical problems, providing of domestic and foreign literature, participation in other associations and chambers.

In our two working committees Technical and Economic Committee current economic and technical issues are discussed regularly. Moreover experiences are exchanged and concepts are developed and implemented.

Also company and site visits are part of the regular program of the BKRI.

BKRI supports its member companies in permitting procedures and has maintains close contacts to authorities (ministries, district governments, local authorities and technical authorities)
